Problems Treated

Headaches

Caused by joint restriction or muscular tension of the head and neck and/or poor posture.

TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction)

Caused by dental problems, postural or muscular faults and cervical spine dysfunction.

Neck Pain

due to muscular and joint restrictions, weakness, disc herniation, instability, arthritis and faulty posture. The pain may be local or may radiate to the upper back, jaw, head or arm.

Shoulder Pain

Due to tendinitis, bursitis, impingement, frozen shoulder, joint instability, labral tears, arthritis, rotator cuff tears, muscle imbalances, inflexibility and fractures.

Elbow Problems

Such as tendinitis (golfer’s elbow and tennis elbow), fractures, dislocations, ligament sprains/tears and arthritis.

Wrist and Hand Problems

Including tendinitis of the wrist, ligament tears/sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis and joint instability.

Back Pain

Due to instability, joint restrictions, disc problems, arthritis/stenosis, core weakness, inflexibility, SI (sacroiliac) joint dysfunction, compression fractures, tightness, weakness, muscle strain and postural/structural faults.

Foot and Ankle Problems

From arthritis, patellofemoral pain, chondromalacia, meniscal tears, ligament damage (ACL, PCL, MCL, LCL), inflexibility, and poor structure/mechanics.

Balance Difficulties, Vertigo, or Dizziness

Stemming from problems with vision, sensation, weakness, inner ear problems (vestibular system), diseases, infections as well as other causes.

Orthotic Fabrication

To improve foot and lower extremity mechanics to reduce discomfort

Running Injuries

With videotape analysis available to break down mechanics and suggest modifications to reduce pain and improve performance.

Sports Injuries

Due to overuse, traumatic or postural problems with emphasis on returning to their sport. This may include videotape analysis to improve mechanics and reduce the risk of future injuries.

Crossfit Injuries

From overuse and mechanical problems, muscle imbalances, inflexibility and strength deficits. Technique assessment and modification will be implemented to minimize risk potential and improve performance.

Post Cancer Lymphedema

Is edema/swelling that occurs following disruption of the lymphatic system from lymph node removal, chemotherapy or radiation. Therapy includes education on how to manage this chronic condition, a light massage called manual lymph drainage if needed to redirect the flow of fluid to alternate pathways, bandaging and decongestive exercises to reduce the swelling and improve circulation.

Post Surgical Rehabilitation

Including but not limited to: joint replacements, labral repairs of the hip and shoulder, arthroscopic surgery, spinal fusions, discectomies, meniscal repairs, tendon repairs, carpal tunnel surgery, fractures, surgeries for instability and ligament reconstructions.
